Our flow meter hire options include both clamp-on ultrasonic (time of flight/transit time) flow meters and electromagnetic meters. All measure flow without need to cut the pipe and are ideal for temporary installations or site investigations.

A clamp-on meter for liquid flow measurement, our flexible clamp on ultrasonic flow meters are a convenient and portable testing option that operate on the time of flight/transit time effect – measuring the time for a sound-wave to travel between a transmitter and receiver.
The clamp is attached tightly onto the pipe, using ultrasonic couplant gel to ensure there aren’t any air gaps between the clamp and the pipe and enhance sound transmission from the transducer. Since the flow meter measures the flow from outside of the pipe, it does not require the flow to be interrupted when being installed and it can easily be transported to different locations for spot flow checks or investigations.
The model is compatible with most sizes of pipes and liquids, including both light and heavy solids, making it ideal for wastewater applications. It also features Bluetooth communication to your device with easy programming and touch-screen interface and the large memory allows for sizeable data logs.

Electromagnetic flow meters (or ‘magmeters’) are a popular and highly accurate flow measurement option for wastewater applications that require a low maintenance solution without pressure drop.
As covered in BS/ISO 6817, electromagnetic flow meters operate on the principle of Faraday’s Law, which states that the voltage induced across any conductor as it moves at right angles through a magnetic field is proportional to the velocity of that conductor.
These flow meters provide an ideal temporary solution in over-pumping scenarios where flow data can not be lost during the works and diversion of flow.
Battery-powered they give accurate data through the cloud and do not need to be wired in or programmed to SCADA, making them an ideal, cost-effective temporary solution.
