SIRIS Flow Inspections Ltd is a wholly independent company, comprised of a team of qualified MCERTS inspectors, appointed as service providers to the CSA Group to inspect adherence to the Self Monitoring of Flow scheme, on behalf of the Environment Agency.

Your partner in ensuring compliance

If you are trading in industry and have been served a consent to discharge trade effluent then you will need to meet certain requirements regarding your monitoring of waste water. These requirements may include MCERTS inspections of your monitoring solutions, processes and systems.

Our certified MCERTS inspectors can carry out site inspections of your flow measurement and sampling systems and issue conformance reports or recommendations based on their findings.

Depending on the results, you will be issued with an MCERTS certificate, valid for 5 years, to confirm your compliance.

Our inspectors will visit your site to carry out their inspection before producing a report. If your site passes then you will be issued with a 5-year certificate by the CSA Group. If your site does not pass, then your report will include details of recommended actions to take. Once remedial work has been carried out, then our inspectors will carry out a second inspection of your site.

Simon Richardson

Director/Head of MCERTS

Simon worked with his dad founder Nick for more than 23 years before taking the reins as Director. Simon heads up our MCERTS services and is an expert in flow measurement regulatory inspections.

Paul Gray

Trainee MCERTS Inspector

With a wealth of prior client and project management, Paul is part of our cohort of trainee MCERTS inspectors, working alongside our experienced inspectors while he studies to become fully qualified.

Nick Richardson

Founder

Nick worked as a sales manager for a flow monitoring systems business before launching SIRIS in 1989. His years’ of experience continue to be an invaluable source of knowledge and expertise.

Chris Richardson

Director/MCERTS Inspector

As founder Nick’s son, Chris has been involved with SIRIS for more than 20 years. Chris worked primarily in servicing and installation before becoming an MCERTS inspector and is now a company director.
